Non-residents of Romania are generally not allowed to purchase immovable property in Romania. These restrictions apply also to European Union citizens and to companies that do not have a registered office in Romania.

One of the solutions enabling non-Romanian residents to buy immovable property in Romania is to set up a Romanian company (LLC) and to conduct a purchase-sale transaction through the Romanian limited liability company. 
 

A limited liability company in Romania may be registered within 21 working days.
The initial equity capital required is as low as RON 200, i.e. EUR 50.
